We understand that staying out of trouble with Uncle Sam is important to you, so we can definitely help you out with the Sales Tax collection with your transactions in Triib.
First, we need to enter in your state’s tax rate. We start this process by going to the “Triib Settings” menu on the left hand column.
Next, select “Edit Affiliate Info”.
Scroll down until you see a field labeled “Tax Rate” and enter in your state’s tax rate. Below this field, there are several check boxes that you can use to easily determine what you should be applying that tax rate to. (We’ll go over the Store items shortly.)
Once you’ve entered all your tax rate info, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the “Save” button.
Let’s look at charging tax in the Store. To do this, click “Store” on the left-hand column, and “Store” again on the drop down menu.
This will bring you to a list of the items currently in your Store. To edit an item, or to check if you have taxing enabled, click on the “Edit” button under the product’s name.
If the item you’ve selected is a taxable item, make sure the “Is Taxable” box is checked. NOTE: BY DEFAULT THIS IS LEFT UN-CHECKED.
Once you’ve made the necessary changes and verified that your tax settings for this item are correct, press the “Save” button and you’re done!
