Now that you have TRIIB in full swing at your gym, it is important for you as a coach to know how to best utilize the software. Not only will this save you time and energy, but it will also make the life of whoever owns/runs the gym much much easier. That being said, let’s talk about some everyday things that have helped me as a coach at a TRIIB gym.
First things first...
Make sure that you have your TRIIB login and password. If you do not know your login/password ask your manager to resend you your welcome email. This email will have specific instructions on how to log in and set a new password. Once you are in, you should make sure that your profile has all the correct information, a profile picture, as well as a kiosk pin number set. You will also see that you can click ‘Administrative _____’ to access the back end of TRIIB.
The Mobile App.
Download the TRIIB app from the app store and log in with your username/password. Please note that the temporary password sent to you in your welcome email will NOT work on the app. You have to follow the instructions in the welcome email before you can log into the app.
Once logged in, in the left menu you have several tabs to look through. First make sure that your current affiliate is set to the right gym.
Checking Members into Class from the Mobile App:
Click the ‘admin’ tab in the left menu. Then click Class Check In. A list of classes will show up, simply click on the class that you are coaching to see who has checked in/RSVP’ed already. You will also see the ‘add member’ button in the top right. Go ahead and click that to manually add a client into that class.
Looking up the Workout for the next day:
Are you closing the gym and need to write up the workout for the next day on the whiteboard? Don’t feel like opening up a GDoc with 800 workouts written in there? Yeah, me either!
Click Admin Tab
Click Coaches Corner
Click Workout Programming
Change date to tomorrow and you will see the workout listed there!
You can locate your kiosk link by logging into the admin side of TRIIB, clicking TRIIB Settings > TRIIB URLs in the left menu. It will always be something like https://triib-gym.triib.com/kiosk/
Scenario #1- Someone has registered online for a drop-in class. Great! Walk them over to the kiosk and have them check into the class as everyone else would. When they register for the drop-in online, that person is assigned a 1 session Attendance Pack, so they can get used to checking in from the kiosk.
Scenario #2- Someone walks in and wants to drop in. Easy day. Walk them over to the kiosk, click the drop-in button and have them fill out the drop in form. This will have them sign the waiver and check into their desired class.
Paying by cash: simply check the box that says ‘i wish to pay with cash’. Only check this box if they are indeed paying in cash.
Repeat drop in: if this person has dropped in before, they do not need to fill out that form again. Simply have them click the ‘repeat drop-in’ button and search for their name. The CC that they used to pay before will be available for use.
Free drop-in: if you do not wish to charge someone for this drop-in, click the ‘coach fee override’ button. This will require you to type in your name as well as your kiosk pin to validate the free drop-in.
Ever have someone walk into the gym while you’re trying to coach 15 people how to snatch? What a nightmare that is. Rather than letting this person walk out the door, quickly walk them over to the kiosk and have them fill out the ‘Visitors - Not Attending Class’ form. This inputs their information into the Prospect’s report in TRIIB for easy follow up.
So someone just dropped in, they love it and want to sign up. Awesome. How in the world do you do that? Walk them over to the kiosk, click the ‘New Members Sign Up’ button and go over the pricing plans with them. Once they select the plan they wish to sign up for, simply instruct them to enter their information just as they did for the drop-in. Their name/email must be entered exactly as it was on their drop-in form, or a duplicate profile will be created.
Alternatively, if you have time, you can log into your desktop profile and go to the admin side of TRIIB. From here, you can locate the member by typing their name in the search bar at the top of the page, clicking on their ‘billing tab’ and using the ‘add membership’ button to add their plan to their account. Ensure the start date is set as the date you wish to bill them for their plan.
This is a good time to clarify how your gym does their billing. If the gym bills everyone on the 1st of the month and someone joins mid-month, they will be billed a pro-rated amount for the remainder of that month, then resume normal billing on the 1st of the following month in the full amount. Your manager should be able to let you know if they are set to 1st of the month billing or if they bill on the member’s join date.
The TV Screens
You can locate your TV Screen links by logging into the admin side of TRIIB, clicking TRIIB Settings > TRIIB URLs in the left menu.
You do not need to be logged in to access the TV screen links, so you will want to bookmark these pages on the web browser used for the TV screens so that you can easily pull them up upon arrival to the gym.
In conclusion, these are the simple ways you can use TRIIB for your responsibilities as a coach.
